Thanks to the new fixed road connection, Hailuoto is now easier to reach than ever. The journey to the island takes you through open seascapes, in the middle of the Bothnian Bay.
By bus to Hailuoto
You can reach Hailuoto from the mainland by local bus. A single adult ticket costs only €2.60 when paid by contactless payment or through the OSL app.
Hailuoto can be reached from the centre of Oulu by bus routes 59 and 59S.

Taxi in Hailuoto
Taxi Hailuoto provides transport services for getting around the island, as well as for journeys outside the island when needed.
The taxi service is accessible, and taxi rides are eligible for Kela reimbursement. Several wheelchair-accessible taxis are available. Taxi Hailuoto follows the pricing of Pohjanmaan Taksi Oy.
