Dog-Friendly Hailuoto
Hailuoto is a wonderful destination for dog owners. In addition to beautiful walking routes, you can also enjoy many of the island’s services together with your dog. This page brings together Hailuoto’s dog-friendly places and the services they offer for four-legged visitors.
Hunting dogs can also be trained in Hailuoto for moose barking trials. There are no wolves or other large predators on the island. For more information about dog permits, please visit the Hailuoto Hunting Association’s website. Enjoy safe and happy outdoor adventures!

Riutunkari Ferry Terminal Café
Dogs are welcome at the café by the Riutunkari ferry dock in Oulunsalo, both on the terrace and inside the café. However, please keep allergics in mind. Fresh drinking water is available for dogs upon request.
Grill-Café Farestiina
At Grill Café Farestiina, dogs are welcome both inside the café and on the terrace. During the summer, there’s a water bowl outside for dogs, and friendly tail-waggers might even get a treat from behind the counter!
Summer Café Tuulesta temmattu
Dogs are welcome at the summer café Tuulesta temmattuun. Please keep your dogs leashed, as there are chickens roaming in the same yard. Water bowls are available for dogs during the café's opening hours.

Dogs are welcome to Ailasto cafe. There is a water bowl available if needed.
LuotoRent
Four-legged friends are also welcome at LuotoRent bike rental. Please note that the owners of the rental shop have a dog as well. Water is available for dogs if needed.
Mille's Place
Dogs are welcome at Mille's Place food truck, which is open from May to October. Water is available for thirsty four-legged friends if needed.
Puutarha Merivilja
Dogs are welcome at the summer flower and garden shop, open from May to early July, and water is available for them if needed.

Dogs are welcome at the gas station during opening hours. Water is available for thirsty four-legged friends upon request.

Calm four-legged friends are welcome in the Luovon Puoji café and gift shop
Hailuodon Panimo (Brewery) Pubi & Puoti
Panimon Pub & Shop welcomes furry friends! During opening hours, water and occasional treats are available for dogs. However, due to hygiene reasons, dogs are not allowed on brewery tours.
Café Loma
At Café Loma, all furry friends are welcome. Fresh drinking water is available in a bowl on the terrace, and well-behaved paw buddies may receive treats from the café staff.
K-Market Hailuoto & Sale Hailuoto
In Hailuoto's shops, there are various treats available for dogs. While dogs are not allowed inside, there are "dog parkings" outside where your furry friend can wait during your shopping trip.

Dogs are welcome in the accommodation options at Luovo's Bistro. Well-behaved dogs are allowed in the restaurant, and during the summer, water bowls are provided for furry friends both in the restaurant and on the terrace.

Luovo offers Compact, Standard, Standard Plus, and Family rooms where dogs are welcome to stay. At Luovo's restaurant Halli, four-legged friends are invited to join on the terrace. Water and occasional treats are available for dogs at the reception desk.

Dogs are welcome at Café Helmi, both on the terrace and indoors. There is a water bowl for dogs, and treats are available from behind the counter.
Café Kaija
Dogs are welcome at Cafe Kaija, which is open during the summer season. In addition to a water bowl, furry friends can also enjoy dog ice cream to cool off on a hot summer day!
